Hello Trish, This is Dixc Internet Radio manager (Mitch.) Thank you first for an awesome song, and allowing Allenjo, our webmaster, to post your song .. Thank a Soldier.. on our website.
I feel what we do at DIXC is only a small gesture for all Our Soldiers and Allies have done and are doing for us.
Hello Trish,
In a world where so much new music has amazing new physical powers such as making my head hurt and causing my hands to reach for the mute button, it is so refreshing to hear the songs and music that i heard you girls sing at Go Green Expo in Los Angeles. I have to say i find your style to be very pleasant and fun as well very realistic. I hope i get to see you girls at the Talking Stick if i can make it. Please keep me informed of your tours as i would love to attend a full session and hear more of you. As a guitarist I am often told my style is very much like that of John Denver/Gorden Lightfoot/James Taylor and it's so nice to see other musicians that are not completely depraved of anything good. Having one time being a resident of the bible tabernacle I have a deep heart for women of domistic abuse and the poor and the homeless so often caused by men who have not taken the time to understand the creation "woman" as the Bible teaches in wisdom and love and far long ago i have taken my position as a man who believes that all woman have the right to live without fear, humiliation, harassment or anything other than what is so thoughtfully outlined in Ephesians 5. If only the men would realize just how vile and unholy their words and actions are in the eyes of the living God, we would not have the need for such things as shelters for battered women. God bless you always, your solar fan/nut/brother in Christ, -- William L. Burris

I learned about your music from a very incredible woman and dear friend in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. I am very inspired by your music and hope to one day have the pleasure to hear it in person. A special thanks for your delightful cookie song. As I walked down the cookie aisle at the grocery store this week I found myself wearing a big smile with the tune in my head almost daring anyone to question my bag of cookies. "It's Just a Cookie" echoes my philosophy of life!

Trish, I am a veteran. I have a son who has been in the military for 17 years, 4 times to Iraq, and seriously wounded in Iraq this past April. He is currently at the VA Polytrauma Center in Palo Alto. For the first time since his injury he was able to stand and begin walking with the assist of a walker.
When I just listened to your song, Thank a Soldier, and watched your video on You tube, a tear flowed down my cheek.
What a beautiful voice you have, and what a tremendously wonderful song this is.
You are a gifted artist. When an artist's work touches the human soul like your song did mine, one knows he/she has found a gifted artist.
God Bless you.

Your song "Plymouth Belvedere" is fabulous. I read the lyrics, and it is truly the simple story I have written called "Tell me a Story Grandpa". Just the message baby boomers want to hear. I love that you did it, wrote a forever loved song. My husband would have stories about this car forever. You did it ... my hero.

Trish----your song "Plymouth Belvedere" struck a chord with me and my family, as for a long time we had a '64 Belvedere, which was pretty much as you describe. My sister had to manhandle it all through high school, to the merriment of many (except when it vapor-locked). Finally, though, a collector randomly saw it and wanted to buy it---it was sold in a heartbeat, and nobody objected....
Thanks for the laugh, and congratulations on being featured on "Car Talk"!

Trish, you were super last week performing at Kulak's! The entire atmosphere in the room was so full of acceptance and appreciation for all the performers' various styles of music, especially yours. Your mix of beautifully crafted songs made your audience feel myriad emotions -- happy, hopeful and yet some songs were so poignant that there were tears in everyone's eyes. I was particurly touched by "The Words Keep Coming Through," so much so that I was running through tissues like they were going out of business!
So great to hear you up close, in person!

Hi Trish,
I received your CD yesterday & wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying it. After two spins, my two favorite songs are still the two that made me want to buy the CD when I saw you at Rattlesnake Slims: How Do We Go On and It's Just A Cookie. You make me cry and then bring me right around and make me laugh! For me to love a song, it has to touch me inside & these two do just that.
Thank you for the laughter & the tears. :)
Best regards,
Dawn

Nice speaking with you on the phone today, thank you for taking the time. It was so special meeting you and hearing you sing at the Conejo Valley Rep Women's luncheon/meeting 3/16. Thank you for your Military service, your talent in expressing your feelings about it and lots more. I probably will order many more to share with guys and gals who we know, and become acquainted with. We will keep in touch via the web, and maybe see you again. Your song, "Thank a Soldier", is absolutely wonderful... The lyrics are beautiful and heartfelt yet very simple and all the words are clear and easily understandable (I have a hearing problem and can rarely understand song lyrics.). And I can enjoy the melody while still listening to the moving words. My daughter has been in the Navy for 3 years, and will be stationed at the Naval Air Base in Qatar next month. It's a small country between Iraq and Iran. She is very serious about her service, and is pretty certain about making it a career. She is also very proud to be allowed the "opportunity" to serve her country in the Mid East. I now have the "opportunity" to aid and support her and other sailors' service and am researching avenues of support groups (live or online), ways to ship cookies, Red Shirt Fridays, etc. I am thrilled that I came across your song! It has a very catchy rhythm and I hope to get it memorized and keep it fresh in my mind. Thank you!

Ms. Lester,
-I wanted to personally thank you for your support of our military in the song, "Thank a Soldier;" I cried the first time I heard it on www.redshirtfridays.org. My youngest brother recently graduated from the MCRD in San Diego, and now my other brother will be joining the United States Marine Corps as well. Thank you so much, and God Bless. May all Americans follow in your example.

I'm the one who played bass unintrusively on some of your songs while you sang at Rancho Tesoro yesterday (Dec. 8). I'm also the one who said "my Dad had a Plymouth Belvedere." Actually, he had the top-of-the-line station wagon, the Sport Suburban, for which he paid a whopping $2,775. (Why is my mind filled with non-essential info like that?) Both door handles were broken when I drove it on my first date. I had to fasten the doors shut with leather belts. I never asked her out again. Too embarrassed!
I really enjoyed your music, especially the Christmas Letter song. I hate reading those things because like your song implies, they make the reader feel as if every other family except his/hers is perfect.
Good luck with your music. I'll probably run into you next Christmas somewhere. Hopefully there'll be an audience that you can actually see.
P.S. The Belvedere model had the most features. The cheaper versions were the Plaza and the Savoy. (More useless trivia).

Hi Trish, It's about time someone wrote a song for the " BELVEDERE" I know what you mean. I always get that "ho hum " attitude when I tell someone I have a Belvedere. There seems to be more interest in the Fury. But, I love my Belvedere... Thanks Allen

Trish – your performance the other night inspired me to the "enth" degree! I don't get out enough, and the experience was actually life-changing. Your music pierced my soul on the most profound level. It brought me back to the happier times in my life when folk music was a huge part of it. I am rarely moved to tears but you did it, gal! I was so touched by your singing, by those meaningful, hand-woven lyrics and such deep, gut-level melodies.
You are a true musical genius! God has blessed you with amazing talent, and you are making Him proud. I listened to your CD non-stop yesterday and continued listening to it over and over again throughout the entire night. I was jazzed with so many ideas for you running through my head that I literally could not sleep. You filled me with joy, happiness and peace.

Aloha Trish,
I enjoyed listening to "The Christmas Letter." It made me laugh because I usually receive at least one such letter each holiday season. I think to myself, "Are these people for real!?"
If I wrote a letter, it would be filled with life's challenges, such as a renovation project that is NOT going according to schedule or budget.

Connie and I have gotten more than our fair share of "THOSE" Christmas Letters. Your song really hit home. We listened to it a couple of time so that we identify the people that we recognized in your Christmas letter song. We loved it. I hope you don't mind if I forward it to a few of my friends.
For those of us that have been on the receiving end of those "Christmas Letters", your current title will allow the song to bring the flawless family to mind without saying it in the name of the song.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from both of us.
Thank you for sharing you talent with us.
